Virginia's Vision was created to support those impacted by sexual assault, violence, and bullying. (Arguably, all of us.) The name Virginia is used in honor my sister, mother, and late grandmother, women who see every person in front of them for their inherent worth and the very best of who they are. They see the world ahead of them as a place of possibility, and similarly, I want V.V. to help shape a kinder, safer future in my community through education, prevention initiatives, literature review, and policy advocacy.
Please keep in mind V.V. is a personal passion project from a private sector researcher and PhD candidate hopeful (see "About" section). While I'm no expert, I've dedicated time and energy to studying, understanding, and researching those impacted by sexual assault, violence, bullying, and other crimes, in-person and in the digital world, that violate a person's autonomy in some way. This website is a place to share my learnings, thoughts, ideas, and goals in this highly important space.
