Virginia's Vision's ultimate goal is to create a safer and more compassionate community, free from sexual violence, harrassment, intimate partner violence, and other crimes violating the autonomy of community members and loved ones.

More specifically, Virginia's Vision aims to promulgate the prevalence and at times unfair circumstances around sexual assault and their signficant consequences. VV aspires to educate everyone, from young children to adults, about setting boundaries and consent, reporting and prevention techniques, finding resources, relevant data trends, and policy changes.

Virginia's Vision also aims to assist those directly impacted by sexual assault through trauma-informed resource accounting.

Virginia's Vision recognizes sexual assault survivors are, unfortunately, among all groups and subsections of people.

Virgina's Vision supports all survivors of sexual assault, regardless of:

sex, gender identity, race, nationality, age, income, class, religious practice, sexual orientation, physical or developmental disabilities, relationship to abuser, former/current presence of addiction, or former/current engagement with sex work.

None of these factors justify assault, and none of these factors make a person more or less of a survivor.

Who's On the Team?

Hi, there. Founder, here. Here is a little about me.

If I had to describe myself in a few words, I'd say "people enthusiast." I really enjoy meeting and learning about people. Probably for this reason, I have a Master's degree in consumer research. For several years, I worked in corporate America and studied people, mostly as consumers, through a business optimization lense.

I still consult in this area.

The direction of my life changed when I began working with a rape crisis center and sexual assault prevention non-profit organization in Dallas, Texas.(Please visit www.theturningpoint.org. It is one of the best, most trauma-informed, survivor-centered organizations I have come across.) While serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors there, I discovered a passion for non-profit work.

In my adult life, I've moved all around the United States for school and work, including southern Missouri, New Orleans metro, Atlanta metro, Portland metro, Los Angeles metro, and Dallas metro. In 2021, I decided to leave the U.S. and spend some time exploring Asia. I loved my time abroad and I officially moved to Seoul, South Korea in 2022.

I have dreams for Virginia's Vision to be a place to accomplish the things listed above and to additionally include policy advocacy, global resource accounting, therapy service, legal counsel, formalized, research-backed education programs, and much more. But right now, Virginia's Vision only consists of me and the encouragement and support of my wonderfully insightful friends and family members all over the world. I also work full-time and am studying, so this website's capacity will grow as slow as or fast as my capacity can drive it.
