Through education, literature review, prevention exploration, awareness initiatives, and policy reporting, Virginia's Vision aims to support survivors, educate local communities, and (hopefully) prevent these traumatic crimes in the future.
Virginia's Vision also aims to assist those directly impacted by sexual assault through trauma-informed resource accounting, so survivors and concerned loved ones can always find the hotline, reporting structure, or additional information they need.

None of these factors justify assault and none of these factors make a person more or less of a survivor.
Who's On the Team?
Hi, there. Founder, here.
Right now, Virginia's Vision consists of me, a dreamer, and the big ideas in my head. If I had to describe myself in a few words, I'd probably say "people enthusiast" -- in both my personal and professional lives.
For several years I worked in corporate America studying people, mostly as consumers, through a business optimization lense. There I worked to create better products and communications for relevant groups. I still consult in this area.
I'm also a person born into an educator family and (apparently) destined to stay there. My grandfather was an Air Force Colonel, university professor, and chaplain; my mom a public school and community college professor; my uncle a community college professor, my aunt a public school teacher, judge, and judgeship mentor, and my father and siblings all coaches for some period; along with many others in my family or whom I consider family. Aside from the educational work on this website, I also educate part-time, teaching English and coaching volleyball.
The direction of my life changed when I began working with a rape crisis center and sexual assault prevention non-profit organization* in Dallas, Texas. While serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors there, I discovered a passion for non-profit work and a heart for survivors.

I have dreams for Virginia's Vision to be a place that accomplishs the aforementioned goals PLUS policy advocacy, global resource accounting, therapy programs, legal counsel, formalized education programs, and much more. However, right now Virginia's Vision solely consists of me and the support of my wonderfully insightful friends and family. I am also studying for a second graduate degree, so this website's capacity will grow as slow as or fast as my capacity can drive it.
